False precision

Carrying a number to two decimal places when the inputs were rough estimates communicates a confidence nobody has.

It changes how the audience treats it: a range invites questions about the assumptions, a precise figure invites acceptance. Where the underlying inputs are judgements, the honest output is a range wide enough to reflect that.
