Container images
An image is a template that gets replicated everywhere, so whatever is in it is in every copy.
A stale base layer, an embedded credential or an unnecessary tool is not one problem, it is one problem multiplied by every running instance. That is the argument for minimal images: not elegance, but that everything included is included everywhere.
