Managed services move responsibility, not all risk
Using a managed database means the provider patches it. It does not mean the data in it is safe.
Access control, network exposure, encryption choices, backups and what you put in remain yours. Managed services genuinely remove work and they remove a specific category of it. Teams routinely assume more transferred than actually did, and the assumption only surfaces during an incident.
