Remediation SLAs
Remediation targets measure the work you agreed to track, which is not the same as the work that needs doing.
When the target becomes unachievable, what changes is usually the counting rather than the risk: exceptions, reclassifications, a redefinition of what is in scope. A target nobody can meet produces creative reporting rather than faster fixes, which is why setting one that is honest matters more than setting one that is ambitious.
