Segmentation in OT
OT segmentation is usually described against a layered reference model, with the process at the bottom and the business at the top.
The model is useful as a shared vocabulary and rarely matches a real site, where exceptions accumulate: a supplier link here, a reporting feed there, an engineer's laptop that spans levels. The valuable exercise is mapping what actually crosses which boundary, rather than asserting conformance to a diagram.
