App permissions

When an app asks for your location, camera or contacts, that permission usually lasts until you go and take it away.

The prompt at install time is the part everybody remembers, and it is the least useful moment to decide, because you want the app to work and you have not used it yet. The more revealing exercise is going through the list a few months later. Apps you have not opened since last year often still have access to your microphone or your photos. Nothing warns you about that, because nothing has changed, and that is precisely the problem.
